Call for Abstracts

44th MPASICON 2027 Rewa (MP)

MPASICON provides the largest and the best podium to showcase the scientific work done by the members of the MP Chapter-Association of Surgeons of India.

Conference Dates: 5th – 7th February 2027

(I). Abstract Submission

  • Abstracts are invited for free paper, award paper, Thesis Paper, and E-Poster.
  • The paper/E-Poster presenter will be required to be available at the time of paper/E-Poster.
  • The Evaluation would be done during the conference.
  • The schedule for paper and E-Poster presentation will be announced before the conference.

A. General Instructions

  1. The Last date for receipt of abstract is 15th December 2026.
  2. The presenting author should be an ASI member and Post Graduate presenter should be an ASI Associate Member.
  3. The Covering letter of the abstract should contain the ASI membership number of the Presenter.
  4. Only one paper and one poster will be accepted from each participant for the competition. Separate abstracts must be submitted for each category.
  5. The Covering letter should have a mention the mode of presentation the category to which the presenter wishes the paper to be included. However, The Scientific Committee reserves the right to assign the paper to any mode of presentation and session it deems fit.
  6. There should be a covering letter with a declaration by the presenter that the work is carried out by him / her and team, if any, and has not been presented or published by him / her earlier.
  7. The Conference Registration is mandatory for Paper/E-Poster Presentation. If the registration is not done by 31st December 2026 the abstract will be withdrawn from the conference program.

B. Instructions for Abstract Submission

  1. All the authors to be listed and the presenting author marked/highlighted with affiliation and typed first as the presenting author.
  2. The Structured abstract of not more than 300 words – aims, methods, results, and conclusion.
  3. Use Word format and Times New Roman font 12pt.
  4. Title in all Capitals and text in single spacing with font size 12 or Bold.

C. Instructions for Free Presentation/Award Paper Presentation /Thesis Paper Presentation

  1. All ASI Member delegates and Thesis Paper for competition who have submitted abstracts will get 8 mts. time for Power Point Presentation. (8 min. presentation and 2 min. discussion). However, the PG non-competition paper will have 6 mts presentation & 2 mts. for discussions.
  2. The text should include (most likely as separate elements of the paper) The objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
  3. The text should make clear the significance of the research.
  4. Patient confidentiality must be protected. No names should appear in illustrations.

D. Instructions for Best Award Thesis

  1. Certificate from the HOD confirming the PG status of the presenter in Feb 2027 and also the PG Associate Membership Number or the copy of the receipt of membership fees sent to ASI HQ, if Associate Membership number has not still been received by the PG.
  2. Post graduate Papers are Open only to Bonafide PG students.
  3. For PG award paper guide/co-guide names should not be given in any slide.
  4. For Dr. I. P. Agarwal Best PG Thesis Paper award, the certificate of HOD for nominating the second-year PG thesis award competition is a compulsory.
  5. For PG competition paper category only 1 paper from each medical College will be accepted.

(II). Instructions for E-Poster Presentation

  1. E-Posters should be in PDF format - fully visible on single screen window or a single PowerPoint slide.
  2. The E-Poster should show the full title of the abstract and name and affiliation of presenter.
  3. The text should make clear the significance of the research.
  4. The text should include the objectives, methods, results and conclusions.
  5. A clear, simple, uncluttered arrangement is the most attractive and the easiest to read.
  6. The type face chosen should be a simple and clear. The titles should be in all upper-case letters.
  7. The remainder text should be in a combination of upper- and lower-case letters.
  8. Illustrations should be simple and eye-catching, with unnecessary detail left out. If possible, convert tables to graphic displays.
  9. Photos should be enlarged enough to show relevant detail.
  10. Patient confidentiality must be protected. No names should appear in illustrations.
  11. All single case reports will be included in E-Poster category only.

All presenters will get a certificate of presentation signed by Conference Organisers and MP ASI officials in due time.
